What to Expect
For after-hours emergencies, the individual can contact North Beach Dental and talk to our answering service. Our dentists (or a local authorized dentist, if our dentists aren't able to be reached) is contacted and the patient’s information and number is shared with our dentists, who will phone the patient. Typically dental emergencies will be solved with a prescription sent to an emergency pharmacy and the individual is booked to come to North Beach Dental as soon as possible. If the individual experiences a bigger issue of significant bleeding, severe pain, and/or signs of an infection swelling or fever), our dentists will usually direct the patient straight away to the nearest emergency room if it is after the office is closed.
Our dentists will typically schedule another appointment to assess the patient’s progress or to conclude any other services. Our dentists will explain to every patient their special aftercare directions that need to be followed entirely for faster relief. Patients will continue to plan once a year dental examinations and twice yearly dental cleanings at North Beach Dental so our dentists can find and treat any developing issues that may call for emergency dental care.
